Originally developed in 2010 for the Wooden Boat Festival in Port Townsend, the Event Response Team now provides first response care and emergency services for various events in the area. With a roster of 15-20 health care practitioners ranging from EMTs to Physicians, the team provides both non-emergent and initial emergency care. As first line providers at concerts, festivals, and other large events our providers rapidly assess and initiate 911 response when needed. Most patients seen present with minor cuts and bumps where quick and efficient treatment can be facilitated on scene. The team is composed of an all volunteer staff – advanced first aid personnel, EMTs, paramedics, nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians assistants, and physicians.
